James Sheehan started as an apprentice for McKenzie Brothers in New Jersey in 1976 building custom masonry homes. From 1980 to 1994, James specialized in historical restoration and preservation of world-renowned landmarks in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. While working for Western Construction Group, he completed more than $100 million in successful projects such as: New York's Grand Central Station, New York Stock Exchange Building and the Chrysler Building.
In 1994, James headed west to join McKenzie Brothers once again. Today, Jimmy and his wife, Valerie, hold the reigns, designing and building the most talked-about luxury custom homes in Cave Creek, Carefree and North Scottsdale.
Valerie Sheehan has an MBA in finance. She also specializes in sales, marketing and has a talent for pulling everything together. She works hard to see that McKenzie Brothers continually strives for excellence by managing all office and behind-the-scene details. Additionally, Valerie manages Carefree Outdoor Living that was started by the Sheehan's in 2009.
Jamie Sheehan studied at the Arizona State W.P. Carey School of Business and graduated with a bachelor's from the Northern Arizona W.A. Franke College of Business. Jamie now coordinates projects both in the office and out in the field. Having grown up in the business, Jamie knows the attention to detail and thoughtful planning it takes to complete these one of a kind custom homes.
